Thoughts on Mike Caulfield.

Can blogs and wikis merged? My answered would have to be a no. As Mike Caulfield stated in, Can Blogs and Wiki Be Merged article, “blogs value a separation of voices, the development of personalities, new posts over revision of old posts” – This is exactly what I thought when we were introduced this assignment.

Blogs in my eyes is a place where you can post what you would like out there for the world to see. It is your personal work and depending on your sharing of your work, people can not take your work and modify the work.

Now wikis are a totally different thing to me. “Wiki iterates not through the creation of new posts, but through the refactoring of old. It shows not a mind in motion, but the clearest and fairest description of what that mind has arrived at” (Mike Caulfield).
